Olde Stage Water District

Facts and Figures

There are four "stations" in the water district; North Well, South Well, Midway and the Main Storage Tank.

North Well, located at the North end of Olde Stage Road
  • Pumps 11 gallons/minute (gpm) from the ground when running
  • Has 800 gallons of storage for chlorine contact
  • Has two booster pumps (only one runs at a time) to feed the Olde Stage Road water main at 30 gpm

South Well, located at the intersection of Valley Land and Olde Stage Road
  • Pumps 11 gpm from the ground when running
  • Has 1000 gallons of storage for chlorine contact
  • Has two booster pumps (only one runs at a time) to feed the Olde Stage Road water main at 20 gpm

Midway, located just south of 6438 Red Hill Road
  • Has a 2000 gallon storage tank that acts as "regulation" storage to signal the North and/or the South Wells to turn on the booster pumps to bring water to Midway
  • Has two 15 gpm booster pumps to raise water to the Red Hill Road water main and the main storage tank on top of Red Hill. These boosters run singularly or both depending on the level of the main storage tank

Main Storage Tank, located on top of Red Hill above 6423 Red Hill Road
  • 70,000 gallons of storage
  • Winter operation is from 8.5' to 10' deep to insure adequate chlorine content
  • Summer operation is from 10' to 15' because of higher Summer water usage.
